FAQ
What is microblading?
Microblading, also known by a variety of names such as eyebrow embroidery, microstroking, feather touch and 3D eyebrows.
The procedure is categorized under permanent makeup, but unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive and is measured as semi-permanent.
The procedure is done manually, by using a hand tool with ultra-fine needles and each stroke is gently etched into the skin, giving an unbelievably natural and realistic look. Please note once the procedure is done, the sharp hair like stroke will fade out and give you that soft more natural shade and shape.
Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrows due to; thinning brows or over tweezed/waxed brows, medical reasons such as Alopecia or chemotherapy. This procedure is excellent for those candidates or those who are looking to enhance their natural brows.
Why choose microblading?
You will not have to worry about wasting your time drawing them on every morning, or wiping them off during a workout, or if you have oily skin & drawn on brow is running done your face, or you’re a victim of over plucking. With Microblading you do not have to worry about any of that. With your microblading artist you will create the perfect brows for you.
How long will it last?
Microblading pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade overtime. Microblading typically lasts 12-18 months, depending on skin type (ex. normal, oily, dry, age, youthful/mature.)
It is recommended for you to come back within 6 to 8 weeks to get a touch up in order to complete your eyebrow procedure. Be advised this is a two-step process. Additionally, please keep in mind you will lose 40% of the pigmentation from your initial procedure.
Most technicians will say this procedure will last 12-18 months, however at the 6 month mark your brows will begin to fade and slowly lose its shape. If you are someone who wants to always have their brows on point then its best to come back every 6 months for a touch up.
A daily Skincare routine will also affect the lasting effect of the pigment. Clients who tan, use products with AHA or Glycolic Acid will cause the procedure to fade faster.
Aftercare will also affect the longevity of your procedure. (I will outline the steps and provide a hard copy to take with you at the end of the procedure.)
Does Microblading hurt?
Every individual is different and has different pain tolerances. Most clients would say the pain level is between a 3-6 on a scale from 1-10. Please note, during the procedure a numbing gel will be applied throughout to keep you as comfortable as possible. Please note you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
